Yeah I heard about this story when I was at PP1 last night, I hope Mario makes a speedy recovery and I'm glad he's alive to tell his story.

I overheard that piece of Sam screaming for everyone to ride with him and I saw a few squids jump on the band wagon with him, so I chunked em the duece, sad to sayI saw this coming . I was told at pp1 after the accident, once this group got in it, they never really let off. So u had a few bikes behind the leaders going out of their way to attempt to keep up...

I no longer lead large groups with these speeds. Wouldn't want it on my conscience if someone gets hurt or worse killed trying to keep up with my dumb .

Sad night, no one learns

"quicksaveme"and I went out to pp1 last night, we started on the memorial ride for eric, after riding with that group for 15 min, I had a bad feeling, I motioned to Jorge,to see if he wanted to bail.....he agreed.... I now feel good for making that choice.

over the years, ive learned to trust my gut.

Yea no joke Sol. My dad last night before I went out showed concern for me riding for the first time, he told me "I don't want you speeding out there, you don't get a second chance in the streets like me and your mother give you".

Wow huh?

So I had an uneasy feeling going out there to begin with. I'm glad I bailed with you because I still had fun last night even if I didn't finish the memorial ride.

Be safe guys, I'm a new rider and I'm glad I've been able to keep myself in my limits now, I definitely don't want to go down.

is this the guy with the Red Mohawk?

Man that sucks i was talking to Solracer, Cris, and a few others when he pulled up. "i was all like that fool needs to stop in the parking lot he is going to get hurt" he didn't look like he had control. then we left and i was at front of pack with candy. she said she was going to bouch so i was like Peace. we took that big sweet right hand turn and i think i was about third one back from the front. i flash me headlights as i saw that people were still on the rode haven't even started the turn. we drove slow looked back and waited . no more bikes then jsut a little ways down was the cross on the right hand side.

no one was waving , nothing out of the ordinary from the front. sucks big ones but when i saw him get his "crew of sqids( jacket less bikers) i said stay the away from me!

people need to know their limits. and if you don't know them then go to the trck and practice or something. slow your roll, you know? but hwere did he fall at? was it that really big right hand turn? if so i made the leaders wait till every one came out of the turn.. sorry about your friend. i added him (along with the other 32 riders that have fallen ) to my prayers for a speedy recovery!!!!!!!!!

Sad to hear more wrecks and deaths. Some just had to learn the hard way.

There were a few threads like this before where rider failed to NEGOTIATE the turn and fell to his death.

That was the weekling on the Busa you are talking about?

I just don't think these guys will ever learn. We will continue to see these threads and the sad part is that is scares a lot of the good riders away.

Youngsta was on a '06 blue/white gsxr 1000. He highsided in the curve from 290 and went over the gaurdrail, fell 70ft below!

I remember hearing about that but the worst one was the Fema truck that Ran over a biker with his chick on the back on that 6-10 loop by Post Oak going east. The 18 wheeler was speeding

Can some one please clarify which turn it was because I remember very clearly that I stopped the leaders and we waited for every one after that nice low speed right hand turn.

Gotcha, now I remember. I live nearby there and for a while, it was a bit hard going through that intersection. Still think about it once in a while...
