the news said that he came down head first.... then how the 2 broken legs and femur? falling that far and hitting head first would be fatal huh? maybe they are just trying to make it sound even worse

He'll be in a lot of pain for a very long time. He made a mistake and he'll have to live with it for the rest of his life. I hope everyone else out there that reads this will learn something from it. But I know you won’t. Everyone has variable riding experience. So when you go out to ride with one of these groups, you don't know how much riding experience the others may possess. One guy may be able to enter a corner at 110mph but it doesn’t mean that the guy behind him can. That is what riding within your limits means. Don’t let the people around you influence you make a poor decision. It could cost you your life.

Glad he's alive! Sounds like a great group of riders to roll with.

I have a name and it's not new girl. I just think you should be considerate of the friends and fam of the posers getting picked off. I understand everyone thinks it's thier own fault for riding the way that do. And the majority of the time I am sure you are right. No arguements about that. But as recents events have shown even the best of the best get into circumstances that overcome them. Being new does not mean that I don't have an opinion about things.

"yeah getting picked off is what i said."
...that makes it sound like there's a sniper taking em out...

...more like darwinism in action. Hope the guy recovers quickly w/o compications/difficulties.

...as for the 4 the split, call em out or point em out at PP1. They'll get a bit lonely when they start to become personas non grata.

I never have been to PP1, was invited by some squids who made fun of me wearing full gear at the Valero gas station off 290 and Jones last November. They had helmets (that's it) and shiny new GSXRs, and were trying to challenge me to race my 636 vs one of their buddies 600. I told them what they wanted to hear "Yeah sure I'll be there" and went the other way. I decided to avoid PP1 at all cost because of that. I don't need tickets or hospital bills any more than I need a swift kick in the @$$. Good luck ever getting me to go there. I prefer to ride with 1 other person or just go solo through some twisty backroads. My biggest fault is that when the road speed limit is 45, I go 50, and when a corner on that road says 25, I still go 50. I have lost traction in corners before and have not always been able to bring it back around. I'm working on following the corner speed limits though, even though I feel like I'm crawling through it.

My advise, avoid posers. They are a danger to you and the whole group. Sounds like this guy was not wearing much more than a helmet and got lots of rash. Learning experiences like this are painful, but that is the most efficient way to learn. Oh yeah, and quit treating highways as race tracks. You never know the condition of the road ahead of you and you only have split seconds to maneuver.

This is something thats always been on my mind everytime I ride on a flyover. I always keep it within the speed limits goin over these bridges even when riding in a group and let others pass by.

Hope he recovers soon.

What gear other than a helmet was he wearing? Sucks that those other riders didn't turn around or stop ... chosing riding parterners is so very important.
