'00 Ducati Monster 900Sie. Sold my car in college to buy it. Expensive maintenance ducati probably was a pretty bad idea for a poor college kid

1st street bike was a little Kawi 110 or maybe it was a 90.. can't recall but I do remember the twin low pipes...

1st "real" streetbike was an 81 Seca 550

xj550 seca

Then sold it and got a 83 Seca 900.. that's the one I wish I had kept...

I drag raced a Seca 550 at Houston International Speedway. It was the same bike, in the same configuration that won C superbike in 1982 (not with me on it).
I still have the trophy, from the drag race. I beat out a supercharged Harley drag bike. It was ET bracket racing and on a fluke I won by about 3 feet.
I also owned a Seca 900. It was stolen and I still miss that bike.

Thanks for bringing back those old memories. Those were both great bikes.

The 900 was way ahead of it's time... unfortunately the Ninja 900 with full fairings came out the same time.. and the Seca just faded away.

I bought it new from Stubbs in early 98', it was a left over model and still in the crate. I bought it and didn't even know how to ride, I called my dad to come up to Stubbs so he could ride it home for me.. I didn't tell him what it was, he was excited because he thought I bought Harley and not a "crotch rocket".. Boy was he surprised..lol

I kept it 6 months and sold it to a buddy then went and bought a brand new ZX11...

I never missed the RF...lol
