Hit a bird

This morning around 6 am on 288 a bird decided to commit suicide. It hit my right forearm. I wasn't sure what it was until I noticed the feathers on my right mirror. Those little critters hurt at about 70 mph.

Ouch, any idea what kind of bird it was? A friend and I were riding out in Katy somewhere when a hawk flew right in front of his front wheel. The hawk came out of the ditch on the side of the road and gave my bud no chance to react. Luck must've been on his side b/c he didn't hit it. The wing span was quite impressive.

Thank goodness for no injuries or accident. It was kinda funny how you tell the story.
I hit a bird sized of a chicken once and broke the grille on my car and dented the hood some too.
Imagine if it hit you in the face, it coulda knock you off your bike.

I've hit my fair share too...they don't feel too good in the arm. Even with leathers on.
