as to the original posted question,
pipe wrap holds heat in, this heat increases velocity in the pipes, so basically it does AID in performance, just whether its really measureable or noticeable in our real world application is debateable.
One thing it does do is hold heat in for rider comfort, last time I ran this set up, they were wrapped and I really had zero heat issues, we will compare and see how it is w/o.

Cool, thats what I thought, that the heat would move the air faster and make "more" power. I just wasnt sure if there was a point at which it started to do more harm than good.

and it still looks the reall purdy with naked pipes.

real world. it feels like it in the range of 100+ / 100+ w/o turdblo.
has serious head and valve work etc etc etc. Folks with the same package, dynos in the 100-110 range.
