Having ridden a Suzuki 1200cc I-4, Buell 1200cc v-twin, a Yamaha 1300cc v-4, and now a Triumph 1050cc I-3, even all being fairly similar displacement, each engine configuration has significantly different performance characteristics. Each is much lower on peak hp than any modern supersport, but has MUCH more usable torque under 6k rpm, which is where I find myself most in the real world.

I don't know who's seeking numbers on greatest street performance (600 vs 750 vs 1000) who won't be satisfied with magazine numbers. Anyone who wants real world data probably doesn't care much about the minimal difference in 100-140 mph between a 600 and 1000 as much as how easily they can pass an 18-wheeler without having to downshift.
A study of engine configurations and gearing and dynos, and such would be further down the road. I'm a fan of race twins and triples for the reason you stated.

I've never seen a shootout magazine, but I do believe the numbers given on page 5 were from the website of one. If it hadn't already been answered, I'd take this advice.

Reading is hard.
Oh... my fault, We people should never have applied logic or common sense to answering your Mensa inspired ingeniously original request for anecdotal empirical data.

Its OK OP, I'm proud of you, admitting you find "Reading Is hard" is a break though step. It explains why you said

Mean old words taunting you, keeping you back from pursuing your dreams . Now we understand why you insisted on videos. Look Bro away from your reading disability won't solve it. Just ask Us people, and we'll pitch in and introduce you to

I'm sure Bevo's got some old images?qtbnANd9GcRQmNk188oaSeSWNQN8L7QtSUK5WVd4v jkpG7vIyPXlWwreN6cTg. You'll like George, you both have a similar approach to figuring things out.

Don't assume WE people can't read because you don't. Ask for , and WE people will teach you. Pay attention and you'll be those mean old words in no time. No thanks needed, that's just what WE people do!

You have never seen a 600 or liter bike shoot out in a magazine? WTF....they are online also. All the specs and times are there. Done on a track and the street. This thread sucks and should have been over as soon as it was posted......surprised it took 11 pages for someone to suggest this...thanks Brando.

It's obvious that OP has never read a sport bike magazine because all the answers are printed in the back of each one, lol. I been had known this stuff was common knowledge for at least 15 years.

Someone finally did the OP's homework for him on page 5, WE people, have been telling the OP where to get the info and read it from page one. Alas, with the revelation of his self admitted reading disability, we now know we were simply asking him to do more than he could. I blame the public schools and too much TV.

We should really do something. Who will join me at the next meet, if the OP can the menu ALL BY HIMSELF (no cheating, only hurts yourself in the end) WE PEOPLE will buy him a beer.
