I need a welding unit

I am in the process of doing a sportster hard tail conversion. I am looking for a wire feed welder to tack some parts in place, then I will have it finished later. I will be willing to buy or rent one. Let me know what you got. Thank you

If you want to make the drive to Kemah / League City Area you can come to my shop and use my mig, spool, or tig machines. I just cant let them leave because we use them often.

Since Quick wants to be a head I will give my opinion. I have never claimed to be an expert welder. My certs may suggest Im better suited to accept or reject welds.

ok. Just for simple tack jobs any old flux core job will work. MIG would be better but set up costs are around 200 more once a bottle and reg are purchased. The one listed above for 80 would get the job done

Bryan, do you weld much aluminum? People ask me once in a while to weld some aluminum and well, I turn it away because I know they won't pay what I will charge them. I can refer you to them if thats ok?

To the OP, sorry about bombing your thread. This world wasn't built with everyone doing the same thing the same way every time, with one persons my way or the highway professional opinion. Im sure Bluewave is a very professional inspector on the job.
