Sunday 8/24... 6 man Adv Ride to Fayetteville (V3)

Adventure bike & Super Moto guys,
Let's get together for another adv/SM ride on Sunday, August 24th. We are going to be running an experimental version of the Fayetteville Adv route that eliminates 362 from the ride. There should now be a stream crossing as well... you can talk to Hail about whether it's a "stream". More than half the ride will be in the dirt.

Date: Sunday, August 24th
Meet spot: Waller County Line BBQ / Shell Station at 290 and 362
Time: 7:30 am w/KSU at 8:00 am
Distance: Round trip to the meet spot will be about 160 miles

It's an adv/sm ride.... We are all smart enough to know full gear is required.

We learned a few things on the previous ride:
  1. If you have a tire repair kit & pump, bring it along.
  2. If you can carry extra fuel, please do. A few of the SM guys have baby tanks.
  3. Riding on the dirt makes "intersections" a little more vague. We need to agree to be responsible for the rider behind us. Keep an eye on your mirror for your ride buddy, especially when the path is not clear.
  4. Bring water for those unexpected maintenance stops. We never know when a Ducati is going to need some road side service
  5. If you have Nav, please (a) plan to bring it and (b) load the map. In the event we have a few extra people show up, we'd like to split the group up and the leader(s) will need Nav. No way to keep on track otherwise, way too many turns on unmarked roads. If you don't know how to load a GPX file, please post up on MH. I suspect somebody will be able to help.

I'll post up the revised route once I get the finishing touches on it.
