I posted this as a warning notice to anyone who travels down that road. Bricks that size can easily take out a car windshield if kicked up by a dually or truck. Its a hazard to everyone, including the road cyclists who could get hit by debris

I seriously doubt it is intentional. There is a brick manufacturing place nearby. Anyone placing those out there intentionally is not just targeting motorcyclists. They are endangering their neighbors, police, emergency vehicles, and innocent passers by. Even the country hicks in the area have more common sense than that.

take the street "rossi" to the track your not cool and your just gonna hurt yourself or someone else in the process. Last i checked we live in Texas not the Isle of Man
Nothing was fun about that turn in particular. I do "take it to the track" as well as street ride. As a matter of fact I just got a cota spot last night

Perhaps you should find another insurance provider. My full coverage is pretty reasonable. If you can't find affordable insurance for your 18 year old bike maybe it's your own driving record to blame

I would think so as well but these are clean bricks with no signs of the fragments and chalking you would expect to see if a brick fell off a truck. Theyre also not scattered around but in the dead center of the lane and in the middle of turns

Get the out of here with that logic! You mean the idiots running triple digits down "racers road" don't own the place? I mean, they pay taxes, why can't they ride the road however they want? Besides, it's so "tragic" when there's a rider down or RIP thread due to these spirited rides, what will we talk about on the internet if there are no more bricks in the road or rider down threads? I guess none of the people complaining in this thread, as super talented street heroes, have the common sense to take a parade lap and check road conditions?

I make a post with some pretty sound advice, and your response is for me to prove how much I know? What exactly would it prove? That I follow my own advice and leave room for error? That some guys follow my advice but can do it at higher speeds? That I'm slow because I won't ride triple digits? If you were going for the look, relax man...you accomplished that a long time ago.

It’s illegal to intentionally obstruct a Texas the motorway. Placing debris on the road for the express purpose of impeding traffic isn't dangerous and unnecessary. I can see both sides of the issues and frankly we as riders can do a lot more to help our image in the community.

I like RR it’s close to my house and one can get the juices flowing at a moderate pace. The locals I've found to be quite nice, often letting a biker by to enjoy the road. However there are certain parts of the road that have blind driveways that should be respected. In addition I'm a rider and I HATE riding with someone who has figured out how to make their exhaust as loud as mechanically possible. It’s annoying to me and when I'm on the a bike and even worse when I'm at home and 20 of them go by 10 times in a row all before 10am in the morning. Something as simple as gear selection goes a long way to holding down the racket.

I see post for rides out there but we could buy ourselves a ton of good will out there with the COPS and community if we as riding community did some clean up walks and beautification projects on some of our favored roads.

As far as pace, hey it’s your funeral, I can't ride most Sundays which means riding alone quite often on Fridays and Saturdays. I ride at a pace that's enjoyable but that will not break my two cardinal rules for any recreational activities; "Don't get hurt, Don't go to Jail". The "hurt" part includes my wallet and reputation as well as my body.

I'm not going to tell anyone to take it to the track (which I also really enjoy) as its a somewhat unrealistic option for those who want to ride more than the track is available. I will say your actions affect not just you but your family and motorcycling community. So think about what you're doing, as like it or not, willing or not you are in affect, representing us all.

A pace that lets you enjoy yourself and respond to sudden road hazards without PANIC or SR's kicking in is ideal for most road and even track conditions.

Go down on some of these out of the way roads and unless someone knows you went down you could be out there without being found for weeks on end. Your pace should ensure that barring being jumped by a cager or rabbid deer, going down simply CAN NOT happen.

If you're complaining about a stationary brick on the road being unavoidable, what about the all deer, turtles, cyclist, cagers, buzzards, armadillo, skunks, badgers, dogs, cats, and cruisers who are trying to react to you while you react to them. Slow down and skill up, and if the lead rider didn't signal a hazard you should really follow someone else.

Looks like one brick in the road. Any half capable rider should be able to miss it. As long as they don't target fixate.

Was there another scenario where they were lined up as described? Pics?
