Cresson kicked my !

What a whole new learning experience that was.
Got my kicked.
:laughing6

Left Houston on Sunday afternoon.
My friend Henrick came over to pick me up.
With some traffic along the way, took about 6 hours to get to Cresson, TX (45min dinner break).
By the time we got to the track, it was already 9PM.
I had my camping gear and Henrick used his air mattress inside the truck.

Cresson kicked my !

Track morning

Cresson kicked my !
Cresson kicked my !

Boo Boo wasn't doing so well.
Bettery died, so we had to push start.
Exhaust wrap and heat pad didn't do too well, so Boo smoked like a chimney!
I end up removing the belly.

Cresson kicked my !
Cresson kicked my !

The big track's 3.1 mile with 27 turns.
There are elevation changes along with couple of complitely blind turns.
I kept telling myself "Track will be there, turn will be there...", but it was pretty scary until I start beliving it.
Now I really can't imagine Laguna Seca "Corkscrew".

IMG 030deleted

First session, I was totally lost.
I probably was all over the track.
Second session, I slowed WAY down and really start paying attention to learn the track.
Third session, I started riding better.
But heat was catching up and I started getting really tired.
Forth session, I had good few laps (this was the session I accdiently got in level 4. I was thinking to myself "I know I'm slow today, but what the ???":laughing6).
I ran over a curb on a down hill at the new section, went straight to dirt, but broke and turned before I ran off.
After that, I figured I was done for the day.
I also started seeing lightenings and dark clouds from a distance.

All and all,
I had a great day.
Can't wait to go back to really start riding!

Yeah, I really did.
Though it was a humbling experience.
Guess I was getting comfortable with the tracks I'm familiar with.
It was good to break routine and start over.

now i getta call my bike boo boo.....i can't believe i crashed the 600rr on my second day of riding it. that's a new record for me.

i'd like to try out cresson's big track one day. looks like you still had fun nutty buddy. even though i crashed....i got right back on and i still had fun at TWS (Texas World Speedway). i wouldn't trade a wrecked out fun day at LSTD for a non-crashing day at Ride Smart

i'm just kidding........or not :confused2

As far as I know of there were 3.
One ducati, one R1 and one something else.
But non of these crashes were bad enough to stop the track.
I don't think embulance ever gone out to the track.

Cool. Sounds like you had a great time even thought you had some bike problems. I love that track it is like riding the hill country but safer.

Hey Nut,
they make some heat reflective tape that goes on the inside of your belly pan that might help.
Glad you had a good time though, your form looks good in those pics!

Yeah, Tom (vfracer-r) recommended me something like that.
I didn't get a chance to pick one up before the trackday.
I'm definitely going to Home Depot this time!

Believe it or not,
one of the instructor was giving me a hard time for "not" hanging off enough.
Guess he wanted me to drag my elbows!

There was some bad traffic on the way to Cresson.
Don't know what it was, but there were few times we were going 20-30mph.

On the way back, took 35S-Highway6.

Nice pics, looks like yall had excellent weather!
I'm gonna try those options you mentioned.
Worse case comes, Boo will run without belly.
Guess I just like to go half naked.
