Spray it with some carb cleaner, but I've seen a lot worse.
I'd be more concerned with what's inside the filter since you've cleaned the sock.

Well I put everything back together and some fresh gas and she's on, I think it's safe to assume that was the problem

One final question, does anyone know the size of the bolt that bolts the airbox down to the frame at top? I lost it and need to go buy a new one

The head is a 10mm hex.
10-15mm long will suffice.

Awesome thank you my dyslexia kicked in and I thought you said 10mm at first and I was like isn't that the hex size lol not very helpful but thanks that's actually really helpful gonna go pick one up today
