really?

there were at least four motorycle related deaths that occurred in the news in Austin, TX within the past two weeks.. some of which, still wore jacket, glove, helmet... etc. different city, but still street riding. compare that to the number of deaths from track.

Your chance of survival and not dying are substantially greater on the track vs street in an unfortunate crash. That's the obvious general consensus in the meaning that the track is safer than the street. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out.

Que the rider to say they've never crashed on the street in 25 years of riding in 3, 2, 1....

Is your bike safer on the track?

Just this season an instructor lost a foot in a collision with another rider at TWS (Texas World Speedway). One of my friends broke his neck on the track, another his pelvis.

Like I said, I promote doing track days, but to say it's safer is just BS. FYI, my mom has her own Harley bagger, she's ridden from NY to Alaska and back along with other trips and she's never crashed or done a track day. She's been riding more than 25 years.

I promote doing a track day, but it's not necessarily safer. You know how many crashes there were at MSRH last weekend?
Ok, if you cannot see or are too proud to admit that doing triple digits on the track is safer (mind you I have not say: safe) that discussion just ended.

Just like I do not discuss evolution with hard core creationists, the earth's curvature with flat earthers, whether or not loud pipes save lives or where the babies comes from with folks believing the storck brings them. All of these believes belong into the same category of fairy tales.

I wouldn't encourage anyone to do triple digits anywhere. For that matter I wouldn't encourage anyone to even ride a motorcycle. Ride your own ride, brother

There is a difference. You have to consider that at the track or on the street, you are going to ride at full speed ... then ask yourself the same question again, which one is a safer place? Track or street?

Of course the track is more dangerous than street IF you do tripple digits there while riding the streets at normal speeds.

But that is not a good comparison IMO.

Go do the 610 loop riding 100+ mph and then tell me the track is more dangerous ... THA is BS !!!

If I'm all alone at 4am I sure don't have to worry about another rider hitting me

Again, I'm pro track

This turned out ok

Yeap .... 3 to 4 cops EVERY morning around 7:30 ish in the HOV lane between Eldridge and 610. And I have seen them jump to the main lanes to chase people.
