Just got my exhaust in today....

Hey fellas,
I ordered my Boz Bros Moira full exhaust system for my 07 ZX10R a little over a week ago and it finally made it in today while i was at work! Glad i finally got it! Only bad thing is im leaving out of town on a job tomorrow afternoon and wont be back until friday so ill be anxious to get back so i can install it and hear that bad boy on the bike! Then ill take it up to Patrick to get a PCIII mapped for it(required) with a BMC filter. I looked it over and seems to be a good quality piece. I was kinda sceptical about ordering it because its rather new with not too much feedback yet but it looks F'in SICK! For those of you that dont know or havent seen it, it eliminates the dual undertail all together and has a a bad looking slash cut tip that exits under the bike by the right side footpeg. Welds look really clean. Craftsmanship seems to be similar to the quality that would come on the M4 system and it is really light weight! Not quite as good quality welds as the akra i have on the 636 but nothing really compares to the quality of an akra system. Thats why they charge so much! Anyways, The Boz Bros dyno sheet on their website is showing just under 8hp to the rear wheels with just the exhaust on top of the 15-20 lbs of weight savings from eliminating the whole rear half of the exhaust system. I personally think the dual undertail on the zx10 looks too bulky no matter what system you get. Im really hoping this system turns out to be as nice as im hoping. I cant wait to get it on! I know its going to be LOUD but that doesnt bother me. I just hope the tone is still good. Ive heard sound clips and it varies on the quality of the camera taking the clip so they all sound different. I guess ill see it in person soon enough. I also ordered this system because its rare so noone will have it plus it was only $700 shipped to my door as opposed to the $1800 Akrapovic system i was considering also. I figure ill try this one out first and if it doesnt work out, ill buy the akra.

Anyways guys, im just excited about getting it in and ill make a sound clip and post pics of it installed when i get back from out of town! :icon_bigg

This one looks nothing like a truck tip. lol I think your thinking of the B2 system that comes out the side like a megaphone. Either that or the R6 setup looks way different. Mine will exit under the bike with it being completely hidden besides the little part of the slash tip you will see. And i know it will be loud. Must have been raspy as being wide open on the 600. I hear the sounds is much lower tone and alot nicer sounding on a 1000 because the motor produces a much lower tone compared to a 600.

Yeah it is but it comes with a little baffle thing that can be removed or installed whichever you prefer. Other than that, if you read the article on the website about them, the performance comes from the bends and the way the collectors are merged together in the 4-2-1 system.

That exhaust looks like a total waste of money...but who cares, it's your money right...

Personally speaking, I think you could get the same effect by cutting your stock exhaust off at the footpeg.

My buddy has this system on his '06 10R... it is AWESOME! I've thought about getting a 10 or a Gixxer or a Busa just so I could run this system!:laughing6

I must say though, cutting your factory headers after they merge into one (and before they merge back to two) sounds like a better idea (if it is possible) because factory is Ti and Boz is heavier stainless.:confused2

Just make sure to rev it up, then watch the exhaust exit for big blue flames! That is just WAY COOL!

I recently put a Single Side Two Bro's system on my '06 ZX10R and I will have to say that it has really made quite a difference. Deep and loud throaty sound, and the extra HP, YIKES! Plus the weight difference in the rear has made it much more agile. I'm really curious to see this system, so post some pics!! (I know I need to do the same too!)

I wish I could just cut the stock exhaust and save the money but with keeping the stock header, it would probably hurt performance pretty bad but might save some weight over the stainless. The system I ordered is dyno proven so this way I know it won't hurt performance.

I'm glad to hear some of you other guys have seen it or owned it and agree its bad ! I love the look of it and I'm expecting it to be loud but from what I hear, it still sounds mean as . Ill get pics asap when I get back and I won't even be running it before I get the power commander!

Oh, I wanna see pics of the two bros single exit system!

Also, since ASI is dead were are all the bikers hanging out at now besides Starbucks?
