Yamaha Warranty Question

Is anyone on here familiar with warranty info for Yamaha? I bought my bike at Texas Motorsports South here in Stafford, TX. I bought the extended 3 year warranty back in 12/03. So Im guessing that after the first year warranty, the 3 year kicks in thus giving me a 4 year warranty.

Since the motor has seem to blow, would that qualify as being fixed under warranty? Does anyone know what voids a warranty? There are no aftermarket parts on the thing except a K&N air filter and 520 conversion. I dunno.. i was just sittin here at work and totally forgot that I had warranty on this thing.... any comments or suggestions?

depends on if it was a full coverage through that dealer or if it was a "extended" warranty. at my store we do 2 different things. full coverage through us starts at the date of purchase and we internally handle all issues. extended extends your factory warranty and all parts are gotten through the factory.

but... when i bought my bike i asked these questions bc i knew i was not going to leave it stock, and texas yamaha south told me i could do what i wanted with it as long as the cases werent cracked open and the heads werent removed.. exaust, chains/sprockets, streetfightering it, none of that changed my warranty.

yeah, but then youll have clean oil in it when they tear it open. im not saying this will help but it wont hurt if the bike looks maintained.

I would say if it looks like brand new oil when they crack the case then it will seem like something is fishy.

I think ur fukd, shoud have bought a zuki, I got zuki motors stacked to the roof. Extended waranty usually(99.99%) runs concurent with the factory waranty.

520 chain might be a reason to deny your warranty.
