It would seem to me that what you're saying is that if there is something like cruise, moderate, and fast, that brisk is somewhere in the middle of moderate and fast. Which seems like an odd pace for a noob ride. But I'm a noob, so what do I know?

Additionally, what can I do to get practice for my eventual first ride other than just drive normally daily?

I have lead plenty of rides and keep things safe for the different levels of experience that people have. I'm not going to continue this match to satisfy your need for trolling. I have posted the ride. Either you like it or you don't. Either you show up or you don't. You are welcome to troll on but I won't lose a wink of sleep over it. Internet bullying/ trolling just shows your inner child crying out for attention and it comes off as needy. Nobody likes needy. So to you I say have an awesome day and hope you join us for a great BRISK ride.

and always wear knee protection when on a bike, even in a slow get off or drop its likely the first thing to touch down hard.

but I consider myself a noob, so what do I know.

that said count me in, I'll ride the 300 since pace will be slower than the normal "Moderate" rides.

I'm not trying to bust your but you seem to want to go that way. I hosted a "brisk" ride two weeks ago that was 10 over in the straights and double entry and accelerate hard out of the corners.

Since most of the people posting in this thread are fairly new to the forum (including the OP) I thought I would ask for clarification. Obviously from the thread there are plenty of others with the same confusion.

The cycle continues.. newer members post up rides, older members get tired of the same ol same ol.

MH has some basic group ride agreed upon pace notes...

noob/relaxed: SL on the straights, yellow posted in corners depending on group
moderate: SL, maybe 10-15+ on straights and curves
brisk: + on the straights, up to double the yellow sign into curves
spirited: race track on the street basically

There have been so many "noob" rides where people have gone down, it is just a basic courtesy to not put "noob" on a ride, unless it is truly a noob oriented ride.

And if everyone stays with the same general pace guidelines and descriptions, other riders have an idea of the speeds to expect.

A thread defining "noob" rides...

http://www.motohouston.com/forums/sh...ht=group+rules

blamdiggity, not trying to bust your chops... just trying to make sure YOU are not the one that has to sit by the road when one of your "noobs" buys it in a ditch. Been there, done that, ain't fun.

Baaaaaaahahahahahahaha you old school?!?! You are one of the worst ones. Wide open throttle in the straights and throw out the parachute in the corners.
Blamdiggity, I think your intentions are spot on but your hard headedness is what's annoying. Why not just call it a Brisk ride? I was asking because I have a friend that is a noob pace rider that I was going to bring on the ride and just wanted clarification. Why you wouldn't let everyone know your intentions is beyond me but what I do know is you are not putting on a noob ride.

Blams definition of brisk is slower than moderate and he stated his levels. He is not the type to go extremely fast and leave anyone behind. If there are super noobs going they can follow the groms lol

No offense but If you want to speed ahead this is not the ride for you. I suggest setting up a faster pace ride. We have tried that before on a noob ride and all it does is cause confusion. I'm sure others would join you Shawn. If you wanna stick with the group you are way more than welcome to join us

^^ does this mean this pos is trying to hurt people feelings? What a , go snore some more coke son, we all need approval on what constitutes a noob ride from such an "old school" experienced rider like you...
