I'm going on the 3rd. I would like the 9th as well but I never rode a ride smart track day. I started with fastline and don't know what to expect or do the require a new ride smart guy to start as novice or can you jump into intermediate or advanced?

The pace is the same in each level. Level 2 fastline isnt "faster" than level 2 at ride smart or vice versa. Same thing in level 3, its the same people who ride the track just different org. If anyone tells you otherwise, they're full of it.

Only one I would say is lstd will generally have faster people, mostly because they mainly do race practices.

They are essentially the same rules and same format. Just sign up for the level you normally do and have fun.

Lstd race practices are specifically broken in street, novice, and expert practice. There isnt a level 1 level 2 level 3 on their race practices. Thats totally different lol

Yes but their non race practice days still have faster people. I was a slow to mid lvl 2 rider there and the next week was one of the faster people in ridesmart lvl 2. That and most of the people in street group are at a very fast lvl 2 pace or above, on little bikes.

Ive bern at track days where there might be a faster group of level 3 guys or a group of slower level 3 guys. It just depends on who goes, but if you wanna ride level 3 2 or 1 dont be like oh its a this certain org trackday or that certain org and I should probably bump myself up/down. Dont over think it, just ride your level and haul

But it feels faster 'cause it's less crowded. I do teach for Fastline now, but I've been a customer of all the orgs mentioned here (and some that aren't around any more) and I say that as a customer.

I don't remember the exact lap times, but a few years back on my SV when I was a slowpoke (career novice) I ran novice one weekend with Fastline at MSRH. A week or 2 later I went back with Ridesmart and ran Intermediate for the first time and was 5 seconds faster. Went back again a few weeks later with Fastline, ran intermediate and dropped 9 seconds. I'm a slow learner, so that aint all skill! As an SV rider I don't have excess power to make up for mistakes and therefore can get stuck behind slow riders on fast bikes. I distinctly remember not being held up as much the weekend I dropped that 9 seconds and let me carry more speed in spots where the SV is strong.

Standard disclaimer however: Your mileage may vary!

Yes sir, we enjoy you X-ray! You have taught me and Wes and You are fast on the SV. I guess after hanging out with Fastline group I just feel part of a big family and comfortable. I remeber the first time and I was like freaking out woundering what to do, but everyone helped me out and made a rookie feel real welcomed. I like returning the favor now when I see the new guys like where do we go for class look in their eyes, I just show them or take them over on the golf cart.

I know! The first time I saw that I was, "What the ?" lol

I still ride with all the orgs and have a good time. Fastline doesn't do TWS (Texas World Speedway), Ridesmart doesn't have GSS, and LSTD is at almost every race weekend for practice. Everybody has fun everywhere!
