" lane splitting/sharing is illegal in Texas, when they tried to get the law changed it sat in committee and was never voted on and Joe Strauss was never going to let it leave committee and never will. I happen to agree with it being illegal and when they split next to my truck I will and do block them, go ahead throw that hemet at my truck and Imma gonna throw 180gr back at yas an I don't miss "

It's gone to and been locked in comittee a few times.

as for playing cop, when your health is not being put at risk by being a roadblock...grow the fark up.

I always laugh at the moto-cops here in Austin, they ALWAYS ride like Ponch and Jon, side by side so they look cool.

It's funny because many of them struggle with adjusting their positions and throttle to stay exactly side by side. It's legal for them I guess.

I'm a cheesehead and love to hate "The Pack". Side b' each is legal in America's Dairy Land. I have to keep reminding my sons that it's not legal here.................... but I don't even know why.

In Texas, why can't we ride with two . . . . I mean - "two abreast"....?

It's not bout looking cool. It's about being seen and protecting each other. It's not illegal to ride 2 abreast.

If it's not illegal, then why would it be illegal to "lane share" with a car when there's adequate space?

Never understood why people care about this particular law. If you're going fast enough to need to split in most areas, you're well above the speed limit already. Maybe work on your situational awareness in regards to cops?

Just my 2c, since I wouldn't know about all that, as I only do it on a closed track with professional supervision, of course.
