Share the lane (lane splitting is not a crime) stickers

Hey a user posted a thread here a month or two ago with lane splitting stickers and a website where we could go to contribute to the cause and get a few stickers in return,

I can not find the thread and was hoping if that user spots this similarly titled thread if he could send out the website that he got his from.

I've done a few searches and have found 2-3 websites with differing organizations and some do not look legit, so i was hoping he could give out the official address to support the org. that are activists for this idea.

Thanks in advance,
SVinder650

thx guys, i like those stickers but i wish the "lane splitting is not illegal" was larger,

SHARE THE LANE is good, but doesnt quite get the concept across.

I'd like to make two wide-ish helmet stickers or just basic stickers to put on the back of the helmet, in bold block lettering:

"SHARE THE LANE"
"FILTERING IS NOT A CRIME"

"SPLITTING IS NOT A CRIME"

trying to work out what would be the best, maybe i can make them out of simple vinyl with adhesive backing.

or "SPLITTING SHOULD NOT BE A CRIME"

Because is actually is in Texas...

Glad to see I wasn't the only one thinking it.

Now I'll sit back and wait for the people that say "No it isn't. There's no law against it."

Sec. 545.060. DRIVING ON ROADWAY LANED FOR TRAFFIC. (a) An operator on a roadway divided into two or more clearly marked lanes for traffic:

(1) shall drive as nearly as practical entirely within a single lane; and

(2) may not move from the lane unless that movement can be made safely.

(b) If a roadway is divided into three lanes and provides for two-way movement of traffic, an operator on the roadway may not drive in the center lane except:

(1) if passing another vehicle and the center lane is clear of traffic within a safe distance;

(2) in preparing to make a left turn; or

(3) where the center lane is designated by an official traffic-control device for movement in the direction in which the operator is moving.

(c) Without regard to the center of the roadway, an official traffic-control device may be erected directing slow-moving traffic to use a designated lane or designating lanes to be used by traffic moving in a particular direction.

(d) Official traffic-control devices prohibiting the changing of lanes on sections of roadway may be installed.

Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 165, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1995.

It is unfortunate that it was one step away from becoming legal a few years ago here in Texas and ran out of time. It would then be the riders choice and we could stop these debates.

Thus you have the distinction between "lane splitting" and "lane sharing". In "lane sharing" you're staying within the lane, you're just sharing the lane with another vehicle, not riding the line between lanes.

Either way the cops here generally don't approve.

it may be hard for some to wrap their heads around the fact that outside this big huge place called houston is an even bigger more huge place called "the world" and there, lane splitting is mostly legal.

so although lane splitting isnt specifically stated as illegal here (but other contraindicating laws do exist to stop people from doing it) a sticker that represents the belief that lane splitting is not a crime is much like a pro-choice or anti-gun sticker, its expresses the belief of the person who is utilizing it and creates awareness that outside peoples big huge universe little city, others are people are living life differently.

no dis to anyone who is against lane splitting, i just wanted to get a sticker to show my support and raise awareness.

I thought it still was in Texas and I have had multiple cops tell me it is.
