Lightbulb Daddy/Daughter ride 08-02-2014? (Or parent/child)

Parent/Child Ride?

I'm throwing around the idea of getting a small group of bikes to zip around Kingwood for about an hour or so with the little ones joining us this Saturday morning (August 2nd). My daughter is 14, has gear, and is interested in something like this.

Come solo or bring who you want but plan on going slow in the name of safety for the kids. I'm planning on staying towards the back of Kingwood during the ride.

Probably meet at Starbucks/Marble Slab at W. Lake Houston Drive and Kingwood Drive late morning.

I'll coordinate if enough people want to give it a shot. Ideas?

unfortunately, my kid is 8. And although I trust myself to not take a spill, I don't trust anyone else on the road. in due time though. She does have her gear and learning on my 50. =P. GL. and if it helps, I would ride with you guys just to have the numbers up.

Good stuff.

Cool idea for a ride. My father used to take me when I was about 7 years old and I have very fond memories of it. I have a while before my 3 year old can go on rides with me. Looking forward to it though. She was always scared of my bikes until a couple months ago she rode in front of me on my dirtbike on the beach. We were only going 5 miles an hour but she was so excited. Now asks me all the time to take her for a ride. May get an ATV to putt around on the trails over here with her.

Sounds good,
My little ones (6 and 9) both ride offroad and with me some on street now that they can reach the passenger footpegs.
Let me know and we can make the ride.

I'll give it a go/no-go in a couple days, depending on the body count.

Just remember, this one is for the kids more than anything else.

Thanks for your responses so far.

My daughter says let's ride!

We can meet at Starbucks at 11:15AM and leave shortly after that. The ice cream shop opens at noon so the kids can have a treat when we get back.

Saturday, August 2nd
Starbucks at Kingwood Drive & W. Lake Houston Pkwy.
Slow paced ride through the neighborhoods in the back of Kingwood.
