Paper plates....

O.k, so this morning i woke up early like 8:45 am to get my mom some flowers to take to her in Texas City. While driving i notice a fairly old chevy cavalier with a paper dated "05-13". So i thought to myself, " this person just purchased this car this freekin morning...on a Sunday? I've seen so many cars with paper plates and wonder is everyone around me getting a new vehicle or are they driving illegally?? What is it about with all these cars with paper plates....

the 05-13 is when it expires.... not when it was issued.

05-13 is the date the paper plate expires. They give around 25 days from the date of purchase to get tags

I hate those things. They get soggy and then dump your peas in your lap.

People do break the law like that and i see it all the time. Its an easy way to avoid tickets for inspection and registration especially if the vehicle is such a pile that it wont pass inspection. I see old beat up trucks driving around bellowing out smoke from the exhaust and obviously on its last leg with paper tags all the time. lol

I know someone has the paper tag hookup cause i know they didnt just buy that pile in that condition.

paper tags doesnt ness. mean that they are cheating, might mean that they bought the car recently and dont have the tags in yet... or might be going thru a bonded title situation like me.

HAHA! Yeah, i had the hook up when i had my 98 Cobra with the O/R x-pipe, limo tint and drag tires that werent street legal. Not that any of that was a big deal to have but it never helped me get my inspection sticker. Fortunately, i always had a buddy at the inspection shop that would get me one anyway.

i had a turbo 300zx running high boost, and obviously running rich to avoid detonation. yeah, there was no way in it was going to pass.

Lol. YEah, i had some stuff done to the cobra. Nothing too extreme but just about every bolt on available. Next mod would have been a vortech s-trim but sold it before i got to it.

It was a 13.10 car on tires. The new cobras come way faster than that off the floor. lol But they do also come with an eaton blower from the factory now. Well, 03-04 anyway.
