waiting...

p.o.s.

Ive seen quite a few "badass" ducs with the fairings missing. I assume it was like the time my friend was on his 999 or 1098 or whatever that thing is and we were all railing about 150 and part of his side fairing flew off.
All i can say is 15k+ doesnt buy what it used to. The only time im impressed with the ducs is when they are sitting.

It wasnt james fault or anybody elses, just one of those freak things. I am so glad nobody went down I was just to the left about 1 or 2 bike lengths behind and this thing came by me like a missle, missing my head by about 18 inches, fortunately ben was a ways back on the r1. all the fasteners were intact and the holes were torn around them. I,m glad I wasn,t on the right side, on the 1098 probably would have scratched it huh!

I knew James was fast but how fast do you have to be for the fairings to just blow off?

the rules only have weight when they are equally applied to all.

I,m SURE you,ve never had that gixxer 1000 over 70 right.
Why would you ever buy anything bigger than a ninja 250, oh wait it runs 100 also.
I,ve been ridin since before most of you were shitin yellow, I know and accept the risks just like the rest of us, thank you very much.

No No No.
I am not making any claims about the fact that he drove that fast. I am only pointing out the Chris(solracer) asked us not to make posts about something like excessive speed.

Any riding I might do that would not conform to the rules would not be posted about on the website.

Again, drive as fast as you want. Its yoru business, not mine.
But this website has rules.

So, a guy starts a thread about WATCHING someone do a wheelie down a public street and he is reprimanded and his thread closed.
A more "popular" MHer starts a thread about RIDING a motorcycle at excessive speeds and his thread is left untouched?:confused1

Let's just get this straight, James gave no specifics about his speed, you can pin it and still not be speeding. The only posts I saw refferencing speed was from other members that were not even there.

Well, Im not a Mod, so Ill have to respect your opinion and action(inaction) on the matter.

So, are we supposed to understand that as long as you only allude to speeding then its okay?

Because if you think that "2nd gear pinned" is not speeding, you are naive.

Lets just apply the rules to everyone, not just the people we dont like and arent part of the MH inner circle.

Dude, I don't even know about the "inner circle" you spoke of, my only point was that the person that started this thread did not mention a particular speed niether did any of the guys that were actually with them, as for the ones that were specific, they may not know of the rules of posting, therefore may have posted without knowlage. I believe that this is a good thing to let them read and become informed of the particulars that are not allowed. I'm sure if soleracer felt it was unworthy he would lock it, I'm not sure I have the authority to make that descision. Do you get where i"m coming form?
