What happened to me today

:eh: This is what happened to me today!! wasn't good!

Today, me, carbonr1/2, castrolr1, flyinduc, and another guy went for a little spin through the forest. Halfway into it, i'm rocking flyinducs new 999 and diggin the torque it has, as a car turned off that was in front of us, i dropped her into 1st as we came to a near stand still waiting for the car to turn, i take off hit 2nd and pin it, wow the torque was amazing. well, a couple more miles down the road exiting a turn straightening up rolling into it, something hits the right clip on sending the duc into a mild headshake, no big deal, I decide to pull over and take a minutes break when i look down and see this\/

What happened to me today

What happened to me today

What happened to me today

thought it was a bird at first, not sure what happened exactly. I took it as a sign and suggested that I at least limp it back to the shop and call it a day.

I did get to ride the 1098 today and all i can say is Efin wow..

Sorry flyinduc for going too fast and blowing the plastics off your new baby.. I'll try to slow it down next time.

I'm thinking the owner (or shop) didn't properly bolt the fairing back on... :icon_bigg

Glad no one was hurt!

it's hard to tell exactly what happened. can't really figure it out. All of the dzus fasteners were still in the mounting tabs of the frame and all were still tight. something just decided to giveway.

I was trying to figure out what was the deal, ya'll looked in good shape and just standing around, so I figured it wasnt anything serious. Glad to hear it was minor.

Spotted you and a couple others in the ditch, and your girl +1 on the other side (that jacket is hard to miss).

Any impact on the fairing or did it just give? There were a bunch of critters out today, including one bigg turtle in the center stripe.

that was T and i standing in the drive way/ was that you on the black gixxer??? you looked like you wanted to stop but decided to keep going. the other 3 were looking for the "flyinduc parts" no pun intended.. I feel kinda bad since it was his new bike and i was riding it when it broke.

not sure what happened yet, there will be a motorcycle CSI going on for sure. Yeah, that turtle was huge, the blood from that thing crossed 1 whole lane. Teresa was sad once she seen it!

nope, I was in the F4I going north behind a 2 up cruiser. I thought that someone took the curve to hot and ended up riding it into the grass, and needed a breather. I had a friend do that without any harm to him or the bike in a curve similar to that.

Sucks that it happened, especialy when you are not riding youre riding somebody's new bike but its a good day when everybody gets to ride back home, driving .

I feel for the turtle but im glad it was in the center stipe on a straight and not in the middle in one of the blinds.
