You don't, just throwing grom in there for no apparent reason. See above

1-1/2qts sounds more like it. No way there is only 1/2qt between the dispenser and the selector valve. So... assuming 50 cents per gallon cost difference between regular and premium, that works out to about 20 cents you get robbed when you get cheated out of 1-1/2 qts of premium unleaded.

I'd say there are far more pressing issues to worry about than $0.20.

Then again... this expressed opinion of mine is worth a whopping $0.02.

There has been 29 people giving their $.02 in this thread so we are up to $.48, we saved the cost of 2 stops.

Assuming you're correct, that's a 10:1 ratio... you're essentially losing the right to express 10 opinions with every fill up.

We need to off-set with the price of the lost fuel by the people that want to squirt a little on the ground first. Those dirty anti-environmentalist types, ya know?

Put some bacon in the tank. It nutralizes the ethanol. Adds swine power to the Hog.

from a moonshiner i can tell you that corn mash produces both ethanol and methanol but both absorb moisture from the air so they suck for engines.

Starting in 1965 the Indy Racing League used methanol racing fuel, which had been the standard in American open wheel racing. Starting in 2007 they switched to 98% ethanol / 2% gasoline for races held in the United States.

but you dont leave fuel sitting inside a racecar tht is not the case for most motorcycles.

Just because it was done on purpose doesn't mean it wasn't spontaneous. Purposely spontaneous explosion's.
