I am wondering how the same thing couldn't have happen on a 600? Most everyone seems to think that just because it's a 1000 that's why it happen. It's not the bike somuch, it's the people on the bike. I have personally seen the same thing happen even more on a 600. I am definately not agreeing with getting a 1000 for a first bike-I'm just saying that it doesn't matter if it's a 600 or a 1000, if it's going to happen it will happen on a 600 also.

+1 start small (250 or 500) then move up.

How did the dealership let him drive away with no Insurance?
They bike couldnt be legally inspected with no proof of ins.
and the dealership cannot(as far as i understand)let the customer drive off on an un-inspected, un-insured bike.
Someone that knows the laws better might be able to clarify this for me, but ive bought 2 new bikes and the dealership wouldnt let me ride either away without providing my ins.

That is why not many people recommend a 600 as a first bike either.

same here with new bike and insurance. whats wierd is that all the cages i have bought I left the dearlership without insurance on it, with proof of insurance for another cage. Do some dearlerships also do that with bikes?

He didn't even have insurance.

But yeah, people like him, who have full coverage and who claim on it after writing off their bikes are the ones who drive rates up.

Well you can get full coverage cause i can get it on my zx10. Its just pointless with how outrageous the price is. Might as well buy the bike every 2 years in just insurance payments.

What zx10 you getting?
