New Rider

Hey all,

Just got my motorcycle endorsement today and looking forward to putting around Friendswood this evening on my new Ninja 300. I had never sat on a bike prior to my safety course this past weekend and I feel like I learned a whole lot. I picked up all of my safety gear (RPHA 10 as well as AStars GP-R jacket, GPX gloves, and SMX-5 boots--pants soon to come) and I'm ready to ride. I plan on taking it slow around town for a bit, but after that I hope to join in on some meets in the south Houston area. Always wanted a motorcycle and the time was finally right, so here I am. I look forward to being a part of the community.

Welcome! I am also from the South(east) Houston area. I just "downgraded" from a cruiser to the 300. It's definitely a fun little bike you will be able to learn from while not getting thrown off when you make mistakes. Enjoy riding, and most of all, stay safe!

Welcome. I do like those Kawa 300s.
Learning to ride in Houston traffic has had its scary moments for me, but I'm hooked now. Glad to see you're buying all the gear.
Keep the rubber side down!

Rule 1. Everyone on the road is trying to kill you.

Welcome, be safe, and have fun.

It didn't even last a week. I put 100 miles on it a day the first three days I had it, so... Yeah it wasn't really just taking it slow. Turns out riding is pretty intoxicating.
