Dennis, was this up in Kingwood/Humble? I have seen a large pack of riders a few times (I actually think it might be the Humble crew that organizes rides here) that have done some real stupid chit a few times....

Many of you think that you could catch a 1K with your 600 or 750, and I agreed that you could IF given that the guy on the 1K is inexperienced. Won't catch me unless I slow down for ya.

The original post was about being buzzed by SQUIDS. Are you admitting to being a SQUID?

I know what you mean - last Saturday evening in Friendswood I was in the cage and very nearly took out some knothead on a sportbike when I went to slowly (lucky for him) went to change lanes and this dude came up through traffic about 40 mph faster than the rest of us and was lane splitting. Luckily I saw him at the last second and aborted the lane switch on top of him.

Scared the out of my wife - the rider has no idea how close he came to contact with a cage that evening.

Some one told me last week "that we aren't idiots, we have rear view mirrors".
Should of seen him coming I guess they were implying. I tend to focuss more in front of me than what's coming up from behind.

yes - we have rear view mirrors but when someone is buzzing you and coming by at a much higher rate of speed then you can look in your mirrors and it's clear but one second later there is a vehicle next to you - like what happened to me on Saturday evening in the cage.

denhou1974, One's gotta wonder why you were buzzed. Chasing him/her down could only make things worse considering the other rider isn't quite right in the head anyway.:eh:
