Harbor chain break tool

Has anybody purchased one of those cheap $15 Harbor Freight chain brake tools?

I picked one up today and I unscrewed the cylinder the pin and spring goes into and i believe a small black spacer fell out along with the spring and pin

I can not find it

Can anyone who has one verify if there is actually a spacer inside the pin Holder along with the spring or did i perhaps mistake it for something else

Many thanks

there appears to be a small stainless steel ball bearing in between the spring+pin and the cylindrical piece that threads in to press against the pin.

this little bit popped out at me when i was inspecting the tool and i was not able to find it. for whatever reason, an hour later i was looking at the floor (after having torn up the 2 square feet of living space the bearing could've possibly bounced to with no luck finding it) and noticed it just sitting there, looking out of place

so i assume this ball bearing is what goe inside the pin pressing cylinder assembly for the purpose of what i can only imagine is to separate the pin from the threaded cylindrical piece that presses against it.

anyways, thanks for anyone who viewed and gave it any thought.

you guys have a lovely riding weekend, the weather is perfct
