That's what I'm going for, a precinct 4 constable threatened to impound it when I was riding it in a ditch about a month ago. 'em.

the trick now though is since it is a registered motorcycle, you can only ride it where legal motorcycles ride. riding on a sidewalk or in the grass could be a problem now.

cops will really hassle you on a small bike like this for doing wheelies? I can see on a big bike... that kinda sucks.

Terell is a MH member. The baja kit ($500) is the headlight, tail assembly, stator, horn, etc. The kit is nice because it's plug and play, I could have pieced it together from scratch for cheaper, but the kit saved Terell a lot of time. www.bajadesigns.com

Up to the cop, the one that patrols my hood wanted to impound it because I was riding in the ditch, if he sees me riding wheelies in the street, I'm probably screwed, lol.

I've had a supermoto for a while now, I'm used to shenanigans

2 sheriffs were watching me practice wheelies tonight in a brand new development, no houses yet, just fresh concrete. I was draggin' knee
and riding wheelies back and forth for 30 minutes, they didn't say anything.

almost as much as a grom....

500 for the baja kit. (you can do substitutions and/or piece it togther, custom wiring etc. for slightly cheaper)

200~ or so for fees, taxes, inspection, insurance.

500 for a stocker 50

1000+ or more for mods.

Labor cost if u dont DIY...

rode bike to meet once down the street, did wheelies in private parking lot. cop that was working security at restaurant threatened to impound it and such. another time, met a cop at a 4 way stop, was ordered (over the PA system) to "take that **** home/off the street)

Yeah, this. I love the Groms, but I've always wanted a 50. I didn't plan on going this far with it, though. Now I'm going all the way, forks and disc brakes will be coming after the 140cc engine and exhaust. It already has a rear shock, I forget what brand.

You might as well get a grom at that point, lol! Better ergos (think: size of seat, leg position, 2 up capable for picking up slimmies) 12"wheels, disc brakes, FI, a cluster...

I won't go any further on mine other than maint and little things.

haha, I'm right there with you. I wanted a cheap mini and bought one disassembled in a box under $200. Bought replacements for missing parts, and bought the SSR 125cc which put me up around $850 spent. Not even running yet, but I'm looking at an extended swing arm, taller (upgraded) forks and front disk brake, 10" or 12" wheels, and wanting to put together something like that baja street legal kit. Just a money pit, but I'll still have less in the bike overall than what Racer X has in Grom aftermarket parts alone.
