I've e-mailed with Tim, and his responses have all been favorable towards motorcycles, and even towards possibly hosting some TMGP events.

Skelator: They are going to offer rental karts, but for the big events SKUSA and such it's going to be bring your own kart.

Please Baby Jesus let them build a motard friendly kart track 10 minutes from my house. I don't ask you for much.

How many times have we heard of a new racetrack near Houston in the last 15 years? And how many have been built?

Tim has contacted me some more about this and wants to get the word out. He thinks people are miss-reading the press release. The track wont be "almost 2 miles". There is almost 2 miles of track with 2 tracks. He says big bikes are welcome but won't have much fun. Mini's and motards will have a blast though.

Quote:
The North Houston complex is set to break ground this summer. Motorsportz at Grand Texas is a well-thought out complex entailing almost two miles of track, the highlight of which is two interconnected but separate and unique facilities. These two tracks will be dedicated to performance activities for both public and private use. One track will be predominate for karts and one will be predominate for cars. The one predominate for cars will be wider than the kart track and will connect to a six acre "Performance Pad" similar to what some might refer to as a skid pad or an autocross pad.

Chris,

So do you think this is really going to happen, or will it be like what I mentioned above?

Curious as to what you think...

Well, this is a smaller chunck to bite off.

The other park had the economy going against it as well as a few other things, this one is on the economy's upswing. Who knows.
