parts & acc. job opening at Stubbs SW

im not management, i just work the parts counter...but they have been running an ad and looking for people, and no one is really calling or coming in. so they asked if i knew anyone...yea, lol...just a couple thousand of my extended family! :laughing6 plus i am working double-time as we are short-staffed...so...who needs a job?

accesories salesperson: would mainly be selling helmets, jackets, gloves, boots, etc...mostly to new riders. here is your chance to do the community a favor and get these new squids into some safer gear that might save their lives. ( we have had too many RIP threads lately! )

youll like this job if you enjoy being a helpful and friendly person, and like to help people find exactly what they want. if you so much as own a motorcycle helmet you will have 9879870 times more experiance than the last person who had this job. (sad, but true)

Parts Consultant:

(this is my job, so you would be doing exactly what i do, if you got this job, youd get to work with me! :confused2 :laughing6 )

honestly i love selling parts! in fact, i left a high paying IT job to come into this industry, and i certainly have no regrets. some people might say im crazy, but well...ok maybe they're right. im crazy...but i like what i do!

this job can be somewhat technical. riders will need help selecting parts for repairs or upgrades. we are talking about things like fiber and steel clutch plates, regulaters/rectifiers, pistons/rings, carb needles and seats, jets, etc...some of it can be fairly complicated. on the plus side we have a nifty computer program that is 9876957 times better than using something like ronayers or bikebandit.

mainly you would be helping customers find more basic stuff like tires, oil, filters, batteries, spark plugs, etc...for their bikes/atv's.

one of the funnest things about this job is helping people get their exhaust systems, power commanders, undertails, basicly...all the bling and upgrades you want for your own bike!

this job is also a great way to learn more about your bikes, and what is out there. ive learned more in the last year than i could have learned in 5 years working IT.

experiance with parts unlimted or tucker rocky catalouges is a major plus. being good with computers a plus. sales experiance a plus.

For your info we deal with:

suzuki; motorcycle and ATV
Honda; motorcycle, ATV, and scooter
Polaris; ATV
Sea-Doo: personal watercraft.

and thats just the OEM stuff. there seems to be a shortage of kawi dealers in the area at the moment, so ive also been helping out a couple kawi customers with aftermarket stuff until the new mancuso is up and going. dont do too much with yamaha, and there is a yammy dealer right down the road from us.

if you want the job, shoot me a PM, and then come by the parts counter and ask for an app. say hello to Bill, the parts manager, he is the one that would be doing the interview.

I worked a part time jo as sales in Hawaii at a small motorcycle shop. It was the best job ever! I was going to the track alot at the time so the discount i got was worth more than the pay. The benefits from a job like this are great. Meeting so many riders at all skill levels and types of riding. Plus it's neat to get first crack at the clearance catalogs from places like TR and PU!

I'm not looking for a job but thought I would share my .02 on what a job like this is like. FUN! If you have time and THINK you might want a part time job, look into this.
