I have the Mini Buran, and yes, its waterproof. Tested it already.

My wife gave me this sweet Hurley Mil spec bag a few years ago. Water proof which is great. I took it to the leather shop next to Motorcycles Unlimited where they added a strap on the back to sit over the sissy bar. I'll get a better pic.

UPDATE

I went with the 5.11 MOAB-6. Got it from Academy for $69.99 + tax

Check the link to the video for a good demonstrations of all the features. What convince me was the dedicated pocket to carry a gun.
