Headphones...

Alright guys,
I wanted an IPOD for riding and to take with me to the gym so i finally got one. I wanted one small enough to carry so i ended up buying the Ipod Nano 8gb as that was the only nano that came in all black and i wanted the extra space for music.

The included headphones have good sound but they get uncomfortable after about 20 mins of use and they dont work in the helmet very well.

Which earphones are yall using? I want something good quality that is also comfortable.

Thanks!!

Hmmm.

Never ride with headphones so I couldnt say.

But the headphones I do use are sony brand and they feel good after hours of use around the house.

get the ones that have different size ear buds that fit into ear not big circles. thay are like as big as a ciggerette with a hole in the middle and come with diff. sizes. I think wal mart and raidio shack sell them.

Whatever you get, make sure they are labeled as "noise canceling" so they will act like earphones to block wind noise.

I found a pair at Frys for under $15 and they seem to be louder than my $35 Sonys.

Ok thanks guys! So I guess ill look tomorrow cause I want to get a pair asap!

I want to buy a quality set that will last along with being comfortable to wear so ill take a look at those Sony plugs. Ill make sure I get the sound cancelling ones to block all that unwanted wind noise my shoei has. Super nice and comfortable helmet but more wind noise than I would expect from that high quality of a helmet.

i used the sony's for a few months but were expensive and the exchangeable plastics kept fallin off.then i went to the koss that waly world had for like $15 instead of the 50 sony, the Koss also has a foam insert that is alot more compfortable IMHO......

Thanks for the help guys. Those skull candys are pretty nice and priced reasonable as well. Im gonna go to best buy and check out those sony mdr's everyone is talking about but i might end up buying those skull candy's. Only bad thing is im not sure of the quality because they arent a name brand like sony and buying over the internet would make it much more difficult to return them should i have problems with them.

I saw those koss phones at wally world but last time i bought a pair like that, they lasted for about a month and went out. Maybe i got a bad pair. And i thought about mounting a big set in the helmet but thats alot of work and im not so sure i want it to be a permanent mod.

dude I have the sonys right now because i lost my skullcandys on the way over to iraq and they suck compared to the skullcandys imho. The bass and clarity from the skull candys will amaze you for just being some earphones. I dont remember what the music and movie store is in the greenspoint mall but they sell them there and a bunch of other music places. Some of the places even have them out for you to try them

Really? I might have to pick a set of those up then. Ive just never heard of them before. How much are they in the stores?

And were they really that much better than the sony's?

yeah i miss mine so much that i will be buying some more when i come home in a couple days. When I first looked at them in december i was like i dont know skullcandy sounds like some cheap brand but they were 20 bucks so i went on the price=quality policy and they were awesome. See if they will let you try them out first and I bet you will be in awe. then report back on here and tell me I was right.

haha j/k
