MH Policy on public streets.

I stand behind SBK and any mod who closes a thread due to the subject of extreme endagerment of the public or self on public roads.

I DO NOT CONDONE Excessive speed on a public road.... traffic present or not.

I DO NOT CONDONE stunting on a public road.... traffic present or not.

Ive always thought about public perception of this site.... I try to keep MH on the up and up as much as possible while still being lenient on topics and such.

Had the 200 mph thread been posted on HSN or other local boards.... no one would have even had the chance to reply.....It would have been deleted, and the original poster banned. However I let the topic go and let people have their opinion. If you feel like MH doesnt cater to you...good luck finding a site that bends over backwards as much as I do, to keep everyone happy.

We need to realize that topics like this can and DO scare potential riders away from the site. It gives all of us a bad name. What you want to do on public streets is your business, whats posted on MH is mine(and all the members of this site should take pride in what they have made this site to be and frown on such acts.)

In recent times I cant understand why ANYONE would want to post up such topics. We have had way too many deaths in this second family if you will. I dont want you out doing 180 down the freeways just because its against the law, I dont want you out there doing it because you might hurt or kill someone else, I dont want to have to go on another memorial ride after you have died. I lost my father not to a motorcycle, not to a cager.....but to him doing something on his bike that put the public AND HIMSELF in harms way.... I grew up fatherless because of this.

feel free to add your comment on this thread, or pm me.

+1. you hit the nail on the head.

dont take for granted was is given to you here and mistake that for weakness. its a public message board that openly invites all types of riders and motorcycles so diversity will be expected. diversity is diffrent then stupidity.

Good stuff - I like the fact that this board doesn't cater to the squid crowd, and that the majority of the population here are very mature.

I'm saying you could have kept that "you better be glad this board is here" stuff.
