man, looks pretty bad. Looks like you had a nice bike before all that happened though! Its a shame to see it all tore up now.

As for the repairs, make sure the frame is straight. If it is and your serious about repairing it, you can probably get away with just the essentials (not cosmetics) to get you back on the road for a decent price. Two of my friends trashed their bikes doing 70-80 on the freeway and they both managed to fix theirs for relatively cheap from ebay parts to just finding good deals on the local forums. My buddy just bought a full set of plastics and tank for 400 buck off an 04 GSXR 750. Deals are out there man. It shouldnt cost much just to get it back up and running again. It will cost a bit to make it perfect and minty though.

Icon mesh sucks. Might as well wear a wife beater. lol

Nice lid, i have the same one in black. Looks like it saved you from having serious face rash and a dent in the back of your skull. THIS IS WHY THE HELMET IS IMPORTANT to all the squids out there that have them hanging off the side of the bike!!

This story also just talked me into getting a set of boots. Ive been putting it off but it seems that everyone i know that has gone down somehow damages their feet because their shoes come off.

Glad to hear your ok man! Just have the bike checked out before you spend money on it and realize the frame is toast and also just look at your options. Part it, stunt it, track bike or if your really set on it, make it minty again.

GL with everything though man! At least you dont owe an arm and a leg on the thing!

glad to hear you are relatively OK cause that might have ended very badly for you and your body.

That bike looks like a right-off to me.

I suggest you seriously discuss/review what happened to cause this incident cause the next one might be your last one.

Been enough people killed in Houston on motorcycles lately.

Better to go the other way and remove parts to SELL on ebay.

Chalk it up to experience, some lessons you gotta pay for in life. Good Luck

sorry to hear about your wreck and hope you heal up soon. so have you thought about whether to part out the bike or repair it yet? might be interested in that engine if it'll fit.

wow, like said many times above take a good look at that frame before you start buying parts. Glad you are ok, looks like it was a pretty nasty spill.

The frame doesnt look like its bent/cracked at all.. Of course thats just from what I can see.. I'm gonna take it down to the frame and have it checked out.. It looks good to me though. The major things I need are the forks, rims, tires, oil pan and sub frame.. I can live with the body being a little scratched up for a while.. I just hope everything checks out ok..

Two reasons why I wrecked...

1. I was ridding beyond my limits.
2. I was following a friend of mine that is far more skilled then I am..

Dont get me wrong I think I can ride pretty good but ridding at high speeds behind some one on the feeder isnt the way to go.. LOL I mean when your going 85+ mph on the feeder everthing is coming at you pretty fast.. I was maybe 30 or 40 ft behind him when he went between the center divider and a truck. I did see it coming but couldnt avoid it. I did swerve over and tried to get back on the freeway but it was too late.. I went back the other day and saw where I hit.. I was about 5 or so inches from clearing the curb. :BangHead: I'm just glad I'm here alive and typing this.. I was really lucky I dint get hurt bad.
