I got nothing real to ad, but the guy in yellow helmet in the last 2.5 minutes needs to get his head down and out. dirtbike habits...oh, and that's a CCW lap.

Needs to use more of the track because he's off the race line more than half the time. I assume this was Intermediate? Pretty common mistake for newer track riders to ride like they're on a public road, in the middle of the lane. He starts a lot of turns in the middle and then is off the apex by 5 or 6 feet too. It results in a lot more "turning" and requires slower speeds than straightening out the corners. It's a pretty easy fix. If he can make it out to MSRH with Fastline on July 12 we can tow him around a few laps and then follow him and get a lot of improvement real quick.

Thanks for keeping it constructive.

Thanks Chris and x ray for good advice.

Dbuck that's actually about as much video as I got of you that day. I followed you for a lap or two but it was too far back to be any good.

I was helping you with your directions. On his next track day he should have an instructor tow him, follow him, and critique him.

You're welcome

He was being towed by an instructor that entire video, all day and getting instruction between sessions.

So what did that instructor tell him? You could tell him to follow the instructor's line

I did, but I didn't stick around to see what the instructors said to him.

He needs to hit an apex. Much of the video he is 1 to 3 feet from the apex. He needs to understand that following the instructor means placing his tires in the "tracks" made by the instructors tires.

He doesn't seem to shift in the seat prior to turn in. One cheek off, right?

On the plus side, at least he's not hanging off the bike like a monkey while riding at a 2/10th pace.

Although your comment was constructive this was in fact in intermediate. You can tell because of the passing in the turns on the inside and outside despite the 2:20+ min pace shown in the video.

no worries. I don't do trackdays for camera time. Was a good day. Can't wait for temps to fall again in October so I can take some more hits off the track pipe. Rode to Harbor Freight last weekend to get a few items and was quickly reminded why I don't ride between Mayish until late September....let alone in a leather suit.
