PASADENA, Texas -- A motorcyclist in Pasadena was injured in a crash with an SUV around lunchtime Tuesday.

The incident happened on Red Bluff Road at Broadway Boulevard.

A Ford SUV was stopped at the scene.

No further details were immediately available.

Looks like the rider came down that side street and didn't stop. Otherwise the scene makes no sense.

Broadway veers off to the left of the SUV. Looks like the SUV attempted to make a left in front of the rider. Both were on Red Bluff

Yeah if you follow the link that appears to be exactly what happened. Police paint lines indicate the SUV was turning left and punted the bike off the road.

Yes, it's at an angle. Both vehicles were on Red Bluff, the SUV was attempting to make a 45 degree turn left onto Broadway in front of the rider. Rider hit driver's side front corner of SUV

The car (I refuse to call that thing an SUV) is still straddling the yellow. So while it likely happened in the motorcycles lane, it doesn't look like the car was moving very fast.

Yellow is the center line. Green is bike path of travel. Red is SUV path of travel.

Red's should have paid attention during motorcycle awareness month. Everyone should call and complain.

It makes sense now, I couldn't make out the yellow stripe so I assumed it was the split one way section of the road that I am familiar with.

I have no credible source, but isn't the most common car-motorcycle accident where the car rear ends the bike?
