MotoGP 2014 discussion thread(SPOILERS INSIDE)

Im surprised we don't have a thread on this already? Rossi's looking good again. There have been some pretty good battles up front with the exception of COTA. Is there anyone who's going to be able to beat Marquez this year? That kid is unstoppable.

I'm hoping Marquez will fall and brake his leg. He's good, but it's no fun watching him win everything. Especially since I hate him...him and his "Joker" smile...GAH!!!

Marquez is a beast, no doubt. However, his talent over the rest of the field isn't what makes the races boring... It's the lack of control they have over the bikes in motogp.

Honda/Yamaha, that's it. Until they regulate all the bikes to be on a legit even playing field, it's going to continue to be boring.

GP racing has always been that way and is rarely boring.

Hmm, you are one of the few who think it's not boring. Curious as to what you see that is so exciting...?

World superbike is far more exciting

There's only one man that can beat Márquez, Márquez.

You're welcome

And all of the other riders that have beat him...

I don't dislike the guy, but I don't think he's some phenom winning titles on a bike that no one else can consistently podium on. He's a very good rider on a superior bike.

Beaten him his rookie year on the first time he has ridden a GP bike on those courses. He is a great rider on a faster bike that he is super comfortable on. Honda found a set up that Marquez can stretch the laws of physics on.

I will agree that a lot of motogp has been pretty boring this year. A few of the races are close and exciting.

At assen it would have been interesting if Rossi had stayed on his dry bike at the beginning. Without a pit stop I don't think even Marc could have caught him.

That didn't seem to slow him down very much at COTA...

2016 everyone will have the same electronics.

Moto2 is pretty close to a spec series and has some pretty close racing as does moto3. I'm not sure how to make motogp closer or more exciting.

Not sure if sarcastic or serious. If serious, why wouldn't pedrosa have the same cheating bike?

Or even if Rossi had started with rain tires like everyone else and not had to start the race at the back from the pits.

No one is saying he is lucky. Dude has skill. On the flip side, how does someone like Hayden, Bautista, and everyone else who is not on a top tier team have a chance to battle with him? The bikes are nowhere close.

They are implementing some changes in the future to change this. I'm looking forward to that.
