Lol so someone posts a bike looking for comments and I see a bunch of guys living in the past! Do your vaginas hurt much? Its an old bike...saying you can go to the track and kick with it is laughable...maybe if your in level 1 or something.

I really dont see the hurt here. Its a fine bike...I just dont see a point in running something that will be spanked by a modern sportbike on the track.

The track is about speed and winning...not a sunday cruise up to Yankees.

It's a totally different bike than an ultra-modern I-4, and a totally different riding experience.
Right, but does it change the facts?

Is this AMA? Racing and winning the money? Factory race bike? Winning anything?

see, this is where you're just flat out wrong. a trackday is just that....a school, where you learn to hone skills, not just WOT and park it in the corners....a track day has nothing to do with winning either. I rode a whole day Sunday at about 75%, never once had a real oh moment and plenty of passing riders on them fancier bikes. I was there to enjoy myself...not to race, not to win a trophy, nothing but enjoying myself and going home in one piece at the end of the event.

At the end of the day, in your opinion, someone is a douchebag if they aren't financing and riding the newest machine. Not everyone stretches every dollar they have, nor do they need to have the biggest, baddest, fastest machine for poser points. carry on.

So to "compete" you feel you must have the fastest and newest bike to offset your own lack of skill? She likes to "compete" on a bike that offers more challenge along with a good time.

Im 230#. Needed to tq to get off the line. Simple as that. I wanted a good base to build on engine wise as well as the length to keep it down. I was mostly into drag racing and at my weight a Busa made the most sense. The real difference is that I didnt dog someone on a forum and call their older bike . You should also consider you are someone who is going to build their bike up. Not talking bolt ons and and a fender eliminator

BTW the ZX14 is a better bet for top end speed now days

Who says I'm going to race it? I have no interest in racing bikes, especially literbikes. Minis...maybe.

I think you are missing the point of this thread, it is a project bike. Not a race bike and not a track bike. Nowhere have I said I think it is fast or will beat anything. I don't care about that. Not sure why you keep posting in the tread if you have nothing pertinent to say.
