wow ^ very clean looking bike!

I have a cut vinyl graphics business so I've thought about painting the fairings black and doing some graphics. Might even do flat black again like the CBR...I liked how nice that came out with repaired fairings. I want to keep the OEM tank color for now.

Here are the two side fairings I think I am going to work with. Needs some sanding and paint so not too bad. Will probably work with the track front and tail fairings since the OEM ones are too damaged and OEM plastic + fiberglass never goes together well.

Oops thanks for the update, work has been kicking my .

Well the bike has been painted after some sanding. The fairings were not salvageable without a ton of work so I opted to get it on the road. I installed the other undertail with the plate and lights (had to re-wire in the cut wires), got the title transferred in my name, and bought some mirrors.

I've ridden it once bringing it from my relatives garage to my new apartment garage, and it is better than my last RC. No bar wobble or weird vibrations at speed. I was planning on going to the track day at the end of this month, but that isn't going to happen. Hope to hit up a track day in October with it. So excited to finally have my toys where I live rather than a 30 minute drive away.

This guy...

You talking about a BMW S1000RR, like you own? Well, obviously. The RC came out 15 years ago and is a 1000cc V-twin that was designed to battle 750cc I-4s in world superbike, and it won twice.

It's a totally different bike than an ultra-modern I-4, and a totally different riding experience.

No point in listening to anyone who dogs this bike and complains about the age.

Yep douche baggery at its finest. The bike looks great. And even at my skill level it went around many bikes on may 28 track day that he would call "sexy"

Ice Ice Baby!

Each to their own. Not sure why so much hate, but hey I'm glad I'm not you! You seem quite unhappy about someone else's bike to troll as you do.

From what it looks like your pocketbook leads what you choose. I'm not as (un)fortunate as you so I chose the RC because I enjoy them and I happened to be able to trade for this one. Yes I would like to have all the latest and greatest because they are faster, sexy, and handle much better. I've owned and ridden them over the years.

But the RC has soul and riding a motorcycle is about just that - soul. Track times, horsepower, etc are all numbers on a paper. Whatever lets you enjoy your life is what's important.
