No worries my friends, I'm not a fan of street fighters so it will be getting full fairings haha. Work has been so insane and currently doing a cam swap in my GTO I haven't had a chance to think about the direction I want to go for sure on this RC.

12 year old bike isn't an issue for me. I rarely ride and when I do I want to have fun...I had some of the best rides on my RC vs all the CBRs, tards, and R1s I've had. I would love to have a new BMW S1k, CBR etc, but I don't have the skill to max out any full size bike. I do prefer literbikes though.

I'm leaning to most likely stay with track fairings for now, maybe re-street it down the line when funds allow getting proper OEM fairings. I know from experience how much it is to rebuild a wrecked RC51...

Grab that OEM upper asap! Then at least you will have everything you need for total OEM plastics.

Nothing beets a twin for pure riding style and sound. Inline 4's just have no soul. I love my aprilia rsv1000r on the track I always loved the old RC51's too.

Here is a brand new RC51 for sale.
http://houston.craigslist.org/mcy/4514093954.html

If the ad is gone then you're too late. It was an '03 with 1 mile on the odometer for $7,000 out of DFW.

Wish I never sold mine. Loved the rumble of the twins. Here's the one I had with painted race fairings. The whole for the headlight was cut out , but it still looked good I think. I'm sure you can take it to a graphics shop and have them put vinyl decals on for cheaper maybe.
