I'd NEVER buy a Ruckus Piece of Poowy

Went down to Galvesburg yesterday.
I went down the sea wall only one time, but it was just at the right time.
I've seen Ruckus's (Ruckii ?? ha) before and only thought they were mildly interesting as an oddity of the two wheel universe.
But I've read a few of the posts about some of you and your Ruckii so I know some of you won't be surprised to read this.
I really didn't know they were such a big deal until I came upon the Ruckus romp on the See Wall. Those little things were actually pretty cool. I had no idea that they had become such a fad and I've never seen them so "customized".
I can see where they'd be a lot of fun to fix up and cruise around a place like Galvesville. They'd be great out in Hawaii.
Also read that the new ones have had the engine redesigned so the top end now reaches 40+ mph.

Sorry if a shot or two is a little out of focus. If I had a double lens I guess it would be focii.....

cool pics. its nice to see they had a good turn out/ride.

would have liked to attend on the mini, but i can only take so much slab. i can barely stand SE to galv on the streetbike. But, on a scooter/mini... i'd do it one way only. unless i was trailered. lol

I always rent skuuders when I go to Hawaii. If I could get a tricked out Grom or Ruckus - that would be really cool.
Grom has a little higher top end???

30 on the older Ruckus just isn't quite enough. Barely enough to get around the neighborhood.

yeah i go on i10 every morning to work on the grom, i can easily see 60-65mph cruising, and i can touch 69-70mph and its fine to hold it at that speed for long stretches. i get 120+ mpg. it paid for it self. wheelies, endos, hopping on/off curbs, going light off road (you can go offroading with off road tires is better) is fine with a grom.

I wasn't stalking them!!!
I was just secretly following them around all over. Snappin some shots. Cruising by the Deck (I think that's where they all stopped), Layin low so they din't detect me and kinda stayin in the shadows.

Geeze - I'd hardly call that stalking.......
Remember, when you point a finger, you have three more pointing back at you unless you lost them in a stoopit sawmill accident like my uncle Bob. Harder than 773H for him to hold a cigarette now too.
Well, actually he's dead now, but hey - it WOULD be harder, hey?

So - Can a Grom be tricked out with aftermarket (not made in some guys garage) swingarms, cantilevers, and like that?

I wouldn't mind having one and modding it with a side cart to hold my wheelchair.

Well - I wanted to say snot, but I thought it would get censored.

I go to China a lot and it would be awesome to totally mod one out like some of those low riding, extended jobs in the pix. Give it a cool paint job and add some LED bling and a megaphone exhaust, ha ha - and ship it over there and just leave it at my friends.
Usually I just go to the smaller cities so I would only occasionally reach highway speeds. There is no way in 773H that I'll drive a car over there.

Does the Grom have all those mod options available???

yes you can mod a grom, not extensively as a ruckus yet, only because they haven't been out long enough.
