call me a little picky about gear i buy, but i would stick with top quality stuff. sidi st air or vortice if you like that style. i personally have the supertech R alpinestars and had the smx plus which were worth every penny.

I would call House of paint and get some pricing on alpinestars smx plus boots, i believe they can order sidi now as well. but ask for the motohouston discount and tony will hook you up!

+1 for calling HOP! He could probably get you some nice alpinestars for cheaper then you think!

Seems like someone said they wore through the sole in one track weekend. I could be wrong though.

GSRA has the pair I bought and compared recently. I never did a long term review because I still had my SIDI and continued to wear them.

My comparison is buried on pge 2-3 of the thread below.

Check the screws holding the plastic pieces. Lock tite blue would be a good idea. They have gotten more comfortable. Have about 800 milks on them so far. For what I do they seem fine so far.

I figure they're worth a try. Had a pair of Sidi's come apart at the zipper when I dropped a bike in a parking lot one time. High $$ doesn't necessarily mean an equally higher quality.

agreed

cuz ones made in china and the other made in china.

it's all about quality control and the level of manufacturing.

Probably not the top of the line but the review seemed decent. Maybe not ideal for the motogp crowd at the track.

Especially true when it's one of the cheaper product lines of a high dollar brand.

I had some of the "nicer" Sidis and they didn't last two years on the street.

IMHO, the only people interested in these boots, would be the ones that are:
1. Cheap
2. Wear Sneakers or less protective footwear
3. Do not own , Have never owned a pair of decent boots
4. All the above.

I believe these boots will do a whole lot more protection vs flip flops or Chucks. May not be the best, but could suffice.
