Harley Electric???

So I didn't think much of this news story: http://www.visordown.com/motorcycle-...ike/25156.html

until I saw the spooky video on Harley's website..."join us for the ride 6/19/2014"

Maybe it's true? Probably be $35k if it is.

I think MSRP on a Zero is about $13k, so I'm going with 25k for the harley.

If that makes it to market, I think it would sell..

But I bet they change up the looks and performance sucks with only a 50 mile range...

It certainly looks nice, but I'm thinking your 85% HD rider isn't going to be interested in that. As a sportbike rider, it's attractive from an ergonomic perspective and it at least looks like it could perform...but, I don't drive a golf-cart to work, and I really don't want to ride a golf-cart-bike either.

I'm sure it's going to be high dollar, if it wasn't I'd love to have it for commuting

First major manufacture to move into electric?

I don't think it fits their brand very well. Can't ride it to Sturgis can't instantly put straight pipes on it.

They will get a few thousand in rebates on each one they sell.

There probably going to have to put some speakers where the exhaust should be and have it play Harley sounds.

i think this is a statement that harley is diverisfying and im hoping that they according to their video, are staying true to their american (ingenuity) roots by actually designing and innovating products that will be market and game changers.

if the street 750 isnt reason enough, it seems they are going all the way, i still dont understand why, after making EBR walk the plank, NOW they decide to do all this innovative ...its like Hey fire the innovative guy over there....a couple years later...hmm lets do some innovating.
