what's really bad is that even when i'm in a car - i see all thst $hit in the road. Huge pieces of 18-wheeler tires left out in the middle of the road for someone else to run over. I've always been scared that someone in front of me is gonna run over something and kick it back up and hit me while i'm on the bike...*Shudders*

It is a sad day. I rode & stunted with Eric many times. He was a good rider and will be missed. My prayers and condolences go out to his family.

RIP BRO!

It is too early to discuss memorial ride? It seems to me from everybody's posts he deserves one!

Pls so kindly to make his memorial ride on a Sunday if possible? 3 of my buddies was with him last night and they all work on SAT @ the same work place. I'm sure they love to join in this ride. My friend Jason was the one he saw last before he passed. He is not at work today.

people ....just an observation.
how did this go from giving some one some respect since they passed
to getting out of control and talkin mess?

no one can really and truly ride safe on a bike
no matter how good you are or think you are or how safe you think you might be.....it will never be completely safe thats the fact of it

you either like the safety of the coach, or you like the freedom of the saddle
you can not have both

RIP man. You did what you loved.

Ok, to clear things up:

This was not a high-speed accident. If you look at the bike, it was hardly trashed and safe for the cracked rims, seemed rideable. It was just a case of bad circumstances, no negligence, no ignorance. Here is a picture of the bike after the incident, were it high-speed, the bike would be significantly more damaged:

Scary cause I was going to go home the same way, but as I hit Bayarea Blvd, I decided to go the Baytown way instead and turned around. There is construction there from completing the Hwy 90 freeway that will merge to the I-10 freeway.
