Drunk Driving on FM 149

Watched an old drunk man cross into my lane then run off the road. Pulled over and checked on him. He's sitting there trying to start his car so he can leave the scene. A few seconds later he stops and tried to get out his side door and can't open it because of the tree leaning on it. We (and another bystandered stopped) told him to get out via passenger side. That's when we notice the opened 16oz BUD light and the unopened 16oz bud light. He proceeded to say he needed to get rid of these before the law man got there. He got out and poured them on the opposite side of the fence he hit and dropped them there.

He then tries to get us to help him pull his car out to get it started so he can go to his "doctors appointment" at 13:00 which it was already past. He also said he was on medication and only had one beer... He was CLEARLY intoxicated.

So, had I been five more seconds faster I would have been directly in his way.

This happened at 17269 FM 149 in Montgomery County. Yup, the Texas Forest Trail.

I was out at the forest Saturday and 2 different ambulances were driving into it as we were heading back towards 105. So I don't know if someone crashed or not.

what are the odds of a drunk driver hurting someone else? he needs his license taken away and who else can get that done besides the police?

Phones are worse than drinking!
No matter what he needs, I wouldn't snitch. Not my style.

i assume you mean while driving? and... maybe USING a phone while driving? while i agree that using a phone while driving COULD be just as bad as drinking and driving, that is not the question here. he was drinking and OBVIOUSLY did not have the ability to keep it between the stripes. why let him drive off without calling the cops?

You get over-hydrated & the symptoms look very similar to being drunk, except the guy isn't feeling good at all, more like he is about to die lol.

You get really woozy, dizzy, eyesight gets blurry, disoriented, confused etc etc

Have had guys thinking I was their elementary school teacher, one even thought I was his mom.

Not the type of injury your going to see to often outside of military.
