NOLA June 14th & 15th

Anyone planning to be there? I'm thinking about trying to make this one, never been to this track and am trying to decide if I should run level 1 since it is brand new to me?

There track days are relative low turnout compare to here and giving the track sizes. Go, intermediate the track is easy to learn and has so much grip.

You think I should go level 2 out the gate? This track has a lot more corners than MSRH. I emailed STT and they said to do Novice and then ask to get bumped up, but I really don't want to waste two whole sessions doing a round robin $225 is expensive compared to what I paid in Houston area.

Thinking about maybe going Sunday since the weather looks a little better.

I am shooting for Sunday too, but then again I live in Louisiana. I only remember one Round Robin with STT when they forced me to novice. Just so you know the first 2 laps of all novice and intermediate sessions are yellow flagged all morning. I would expect open track later in the day given the relatively low turnout at NOLA events.

Ahh ok, if the first two laps are yellow flagged and I can get a tow off someone to learn the line maybe I'd be OK.

Does STT make you do novice if it's your first time with them? If so it's not a big deal, I'm pretty sure I can get bumped into level 2, and if the track isn't as packed as a Ridesmart day it might not even be necessary LOL

They made me do novice first time I rode with them and got bumped on 2nd or 3rd session. Trust me, grids are going to be small so the pace will be what you feel comfortable with.

If you look real close, there are some "spots" on the track, akin to what Ride Smart does for turn in and clip point. Should help with the line if you are familiar with them.

Awesome, thanks for the info. Maybe I'll see you out there. I'll be on a silver F4i with black and red leathers.

You were running 203s at msrh. I think you will be fine with level 2 as long as they have a round robin

What happens if you sign up for level 1 and asked to get bumped up to level 2 and they're like oh youre not ready lmao. Then you get stuck in level 2 all day

The website won't let you sign up for level 2. You have to have your profile updated by Stt. I guess if you are a racer they may make exceptions.

$225 is CHEAP for that track. Dirt cheap.

I'm hoping it really will be small grids like I've been told and it wouldn't matter too much. Then again it would suck to get passed by a bunch of noobs on liter bikes every time we hit that huge straight only to be hung up behind all of them again at the first corner hahaha.

Oh ok, I was expecting it to be on par with MSRH. I found MSRH to be world class compared to TWS (Texas World Speedway) haha.

but I just realized I won't have the back protector I just bought by Sunday anyway so I'd have to run level 1 regardless.
