I don't actually think that report is correct, without getting myself in trouble, I can tell you it was a member of banditos.

RIP to the rider and condolences to the family (biological and moto).

Is there any word on what gear if any was worn? I always appreciate the reports from any accident minor to serious regarding protective gear to help better inform my own personal riding decisions.

** If for some reason it seems tacky or might cause a gear flame war, please feel free to ignore/moderate this post. **

That's what I hate hearing. There are some accidents where any amount of gear wouldn't be enough. But please give yourself a chance for everything else.

Exactly. At least a helmet. With some gloves. And boots. Maybe a jacket even.

As the sister of this rider who passed away, I can say he absolutely DID have on gear & a full face helmet. Boots, gloves, a vest.

Please do not make assumptions about things that you do not know of first hand.

And he also did not pass from blunt force trauma to the head. Again, don't speak out of turn & say things which you don't know for certain.

Thank you.
RIP Willie. <3

The other brother who was seriously injured has lost his foot & about 3 inches of his lower leg.
He ALSO had on gear & a full face helmet.

Another lost a finger.

There was construction debris in the road and it caused a chain reaction thru the pack of guys. They were not speeding, were not being careless, and were all highly seasoned riders. They were in Houston for a funeral of another brother who passed a couple of weeks ago.
