I got a great deal on mine, but had to drive to Mathis, Tx to get it. I've found a few around Tx, but if you want a good deal you're just going to have to search craigslist till one pops up. I paid $3200 cash for mine, he was asking $3900 (completely stock motor except new piston and rings, with a couple of add ons like breakaway ktm levers, skid plate, wide pegs, bike stand, and a brand new piston and rings in the box) and I added about $500 in exhaust system, rear tire, and chain and sprockets, plus graphics to get it how I wanted it. Good luck with you search, KTM makes some excellent dirt bikes BTW.

My new bike is now trail ready. I'm planning to head up tomorrow am. Can anyone suggest what area should be driest? Buelligan, you have PM.

All should be pretty dry, rode the balloon loop today and it's dry and dusty.

Dirt was great yesterday after a bit of rain. Mark was a awesome ride leader. See you in a couple of hours for trail work.

Think the trails would be too much for a big dual sport like a KLR? I'd love to ride them as it's gorgeous out there but don't want to ride past the limits of the bike and don't own anything else.

I've seen some KLR 650's on the trails.

I've ridden the east side 3 times in the last week. When it's dry, there's some fairly deep sand. After some rain, the mud holes grow and get harder to avoid. I might think twice about take a heavy bike out without some fairly aggressive tires, and even then at least one buddy would be a good idea, just in case you get her stuck.
