Has anyone been on the HOT lane when its "closed" to single passengers?

Hi i know this doesnt apply to most of us since we commute on the bikes but i noticed yesterday (and everyday) from 6-8 in the AM and 5-6PM (both closed to single passengers except motos) no matter what HOV i happen to be on that single passenger cars are on the HOV

I was just curious if anyone has happened to get on the HOV in their cage during that time and drove thru the toll, do they charge you 5 bucks or do the fine you? because i think they're only simply charging people...from the amount of people i see doing it continually thats all i can gather, if they assesed the 50 or 150 fine or whatever it is, people wouldnt be doing it.

I also called and made a comment that "closing" the HOV to single passengers after advertising that its now a toll is sorta redundant and is widely ignored, if they want to close it they shouldnt say "its closed" rather they should raise the toll from 6-8AM and 5-6PM up to 20-25 dollars, that way people would be MUCH more aware of the times that the toll is in effect.

Has anyone been on the HOV in their Cage during the 3+ only times and been assesed a fine or simply charged the toll and carried on?

I haven't been on in my cage, but I know on the SW freeway I see Metro moto cops there probably at least once a week writing tickets for violators.
