Make An Offer

Ok guys I just want to get an idea of what I can get should I decide to get ride of my 07 R1.

It has ~1800 miles on it I bought it in January with 0.00 on the odo. I have dropped it once in my driveway and has two very very small scratches on the left lower and upper (lower part) fairings. The left mirror also has a small scratch. It has GreggsCustom Flushmount turn signals and no signals in the back due to the fender elim.

I still owe 13k on the bike so what would you be willing to pay?

p.s. the bike is a 2007 Charcoal R1

lol and don't say 5 thousand dollars

ya I still owe 13K, after 2 year extended warranty and services it came out to 15k becuase they saw a 20 year old guy walk in and knew they could get it from it. I am financing 13k of it I put 2500 down.

I'm ONLY possibly getting rid of it to size down :eh:

This is my first bike and I've been riding since January and the only thing I'm really learning on this R1 is how to go ~180 on the straigh aways :BangHead:

I think I want a 600 to really get something out of it and improve on my skills. I bought the R1 thinking it would probably be my only bike, lol I should of read this forum before that and realized that NO, it will not be my only bike. I would keep it and shoot for a 600, but like I said I'm only 20 and the funds aren't there.

Well, good luck with any possible sale.
At least you're making a mature decision in wanting a smaller bike to build skill with.

YOu're not going to learn anything more on a new 600 than you would that. The 600 still has the acceleration up to 130ish that the R1 has. You just need to learn to control your wrist. i wouldn't take that much of a loss on a brand new bike that you like. Maybe you should just meet up with some riders that do just the speed limit and allow them to teach you to control your urges

I agree somewhat, but he already said he's been running 180 on it. I would think if one is mature enought to realize it's too much bike, then they would be mature enough to control the throttle. Everyone is different though.

Good luck with whatever you do.
